The blog of author Deborah Diesen. Here you'll find an eclectic mix, including: interviews with other Michigan authors (some of books for grown-ups, some of books for kids); bits of original poetry; the occasional workout DVD review; plus much, much more, or much, much less, depending on the week.

Hi, Can't wait to check out the video- I did a little post on my blog about my daughter reading Pout Pout Fish, and wanted to tell you that in my former life as a literacy coach I used your wonderful book at a new teacher trained every year. Everyone loved it- it is such a great book! Thank you for your fun work!
I liked the video, but I'm commenting here to say I finally read my 2nd Michigan book (there was a long wait at the library), and I enjoyed that one as well.
Thanks again for hosting a fun challenge, and recommending You Don't Look Like Anyone I Know.
Love the group chorus!
Beth and Z-Kids, thanks!
And Beth, I'm so glad you enjoyed the books! I'm going to do another Michigan Notables reading challenge next year - I hope you'll participate in that one, too!
Kristy, thank you for your kind words! I'm so glad the book is a part of your daughter's reading life, and thank you for using it for teacher training, too. :)
