I don't actually know the answer to that question, but when I ran across this list of books (yeah, I'm guilty again of self-Googling - but it does take me interesting places..), the title Put It On The List! jumped out at me.
I've never seen this issue addressed in a picture book, but I say it's about time! The grocery list at our house, an easy-to-use checklist in grocery store aisle order, is woefully underutilized as a "put it on the list before it runs out" tool.
So I'll definitely have to put Kristen Darbyshire's Put It On The List! on my library list to take a look at!
