My friend Ann Finkelstein has a wonderful ongoing blog feature of overheard quotes.
Though I'm not going to steal her feature, I'm borrowing it on a one time basis, because this overheard quote -- the parting shot of a heated discussion between two young people I happen to know -- amused me:
"Oh yeah? Well then let's get a ton of feathers and a ton of bricks and find out for sure!"

Too funny!
Please tell the young scientists that both the feathers and the bricks will fall at an acceleration of 9.8 meters/second/second, but air resistance might play a role.
The overhead quote I will never forget:
Having dinner in a restaurant with my husband, during a pause in our conversation, we both heard "Gary has never been the same since his fiance died in that skydiving accident." My husband and I looked at each other and I said "that answers the skydiving question."
