Mowing
Forgive me
the random tall patches of grass
in the yard.
There were
tiny moths
rising up
before me,
and I did not want to chop them into so much
moth mulch,
simply for
the sake of
consistency.

Love the mash-up of William Carlos Williams and Robert Frost!
For my Friday efforts, I often try to nod at a poem or two I love. Makes my own clumsy attempts feel a little better anchored, a little more real.
Light and fun. Could use more of that in light of current events. Thank you.
